Are there caves in the area? The answer is almost certainly yes, though the World Cave Database does not list any in Angola. From a speleological point of view, it's not that there are no caves in Angola, rather that they have not been surveyed.

The Victorian Speleological Association (VSA) was formed in 1967 by the amalgamation of two caving groups, the Victorian Cave Exploration Society (formed in 1957) and the Sub-Aqua Speleological Society (formed in 1960). It became an Incorporated Association in January 1986. VSA is a Corporate Member of the Australian Speleological Federation Inc. (ASF) and participates in its Public and Product Liability Insurance scheme.
